Herts End-to-End Challenge
17th May - 23rd May

90 miles. 7 days. One extraordinary challenge for local children.

This spring, the co-founders of Helping Herts are walking a straight line

across our county.

The co‑founders (Gordon and Jim) of Helping Herts are taking on an incredible challenge this year, a 7‑day, 90 mile fundraising walk from Tring to Bishop’s Stortford!

What does 90 miles look like?

  • Over 200,000 steps in just one week

  • More than 3 marathons back-to-back

  • Roughly the same as driving from Hertford to Bristol

  • An average of 12–14 miles every single day

  • Whatever the weather. No days off. One continuous line

The walk will pass through towns and villages that represent the very heart of Hertfordshire. They’re doing it for one reason: to raise vital funds for 12 children’s charities working on the frontline across our county.

Every mile walked helps fund:

  • mental health support

  • family services

  • mentoring

  • inclusive education

  • safe spaces for children and young people who need them most
