Helping Herts Hertfordshire Hero 2026
Every community has someone who quietly makes a difference.
The neighbour who checks in on everyone.
The coach who gives up their evenings.
The fundraiser who never seeks recognition.
The volunteer who always shows up.
This Helping Herts Week, we’re shining a light on the incredible people who help make Hertfordshire such a special place to live.
Do You Know a Local Hero?
We’re inviting you to nominate someone who goes above and beyond for others in Hertfordshire. Someone who embodies kindness, community spirit and a commitment to helping children and young people thrive.
At Helping Herts, our mission is simple: to improve the lives of children and young people across the county by uniting 12 remarkable local charities and fostering collaboration, fundraising and community action.
Our Local Hero Award celebrates the individuals who bring that same spirit to life in their own way.
What Does the Winner Receive?
The winning Local Hero will receive:
✨ An invitation to a celebratory lunch during Helping Herts Week
✨ A commemorative plaque in recognition of their contribution
✨ Public recognition across our website and social media
✨ The appreciation and gratitude of the Hertfordshire community
Most importantly, they’ll receive the recognition they truly deserve.
